A late kick off produced a typically grinding performance in which FC Unknown were unlucky not to walk away with all 3 points. The grinders went into the game with 7 players as Adam was unavailable, probably drawing some shit on a Mac. Dean was back from a weeks break in the sun looking whiter than when he left and Neil was carrying a knock from last weeks emphatic win over VCR.The match started in a tense fashion with neither team looking like they wanted to cross the half way line but it wasn’t long before there were a few half chances for both team. Scott remaining solid between the sticks and the opposition goalie proving deceivingly reliable.

The only memorable action in a frankly dour first half was a penalty conceded by an infringement into the penalty area by the Boca Gooners dopey defender who controlled the ball on the line and then decided to walk a yard into his own area! With Neil off the pitch struggling with his hamstring Sam stepped up to take the penalty which was dispatched with aplomb. High to the keepers right into the side netting the goalie never stood a chance.

After the goal the opposition rallied with their Goliath of a centre back, resembling a black Vladimir Klitschko starting to push forward causing a problem for the resilient FC Unknown defence but the Grinders stood firm and went into the second half with a 1-0 lead.

The second half kicked off, they scored, we scored and they scored again then the ref blew the whistle.
