The Summer Is Coming
The first bank holiday weekend in May is a sign, in our eyes, that the summer is finally coming, and with it a whole change in sport! As the football season comes to an end and we focus ourselves on the cricket season, the athletics and the World Cup, there are plenty of opportunities for more trophies to be won at all levels.
This year we have a pretty big summer to look forward to, with the highlight no doubt being the World Cup in Brazil, and if you’re not travelling to Brazil there are plenty of ways for you to get involved! Why not set up a prediction league or a fantasy football World Cup special, with trophies and medals for the winners?
Also this summer we have the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, starting on the 23rd July, with a host of British talent looking to pick up gold medals and make a name for themselves on the big stage. Another standout event in Britain will be Wimbledon, with Andy Murray looking to retain his trophy. And if that’s not enough for you, we have the Tour De France, the British Open and a whole season of cricket, with plenty of opportunities for champions to be crowned and trophies to be handed out!
