Final Score: MyFace 4 FC Unknown 4

Goals Soccer Centre, Wimbledon

MyFace came into the game with a 100% record and apparently in their best form ever. But Unknown took the lead from an unlikely source when Adam O’Gorman rifled in a piledriver that went in off both posts. Adam has previously been as prolific as John Jensen so the keepers shock was understandable. After that Unknown looked strangely weary and when Dame the Frames tackle fell to the rounded striker, he made it 1-1.

Myface were soon 2-1 in front when Dean slipped back into his Velcro boots and got beaten all ends up. Into the second half Myface went 3-1 up as Spud got past Damon and beat Scott at his near post. Scott had decided to fall like a great oak across his goal for some totally unbeknown reason, and the ball trickled past his feet.

It looked like a cosy win was on the cards for Myface but somehow FC Unknown found some energy. Dean got free down the right and banged one off the boards for Sey to slot home. Then a trademark Unknown free kick got Dean free and he slotted past the big goalkeeper from an unfeasibly tight angle to make it 3-3. Instead of hanging on for a draw Unknown kept going for it, and Sey nicked the ball off the last defender, trotted through and somehow posted his letter past the big keeper – 4-3.

In an attempt to ditch the grinders tag, Unknown kept going for it. Dean and Sey combined again before Sey’s shot was saved by the keepers feet. The ball then fell straight to a Myface player who curled an unstoppable shot past Scott for 4-4. With a few minutes remaining things got more difficult for FC Unknown when Damon’s heavy touch was followed by an even heavier tackle, which resulted in the sin bin. Unknown held on without too many alarms and won themselves a well earned point.

Sam also played. Puff didn’t play as he arrived with a few minutes remaining having misunderstood the kick off time. Although he didn’t kick a ball he had one of his best games of the season!!
