Setup in 1976 as a retail outlet supplying sports trophies, medals & awards, Challenge Trophies are a family business who have been serving our local community for more than 35 years.
Over the years our business has seen a great deal of change from engraving pewter tankards for Rank Hovis McDougall to dressing bankers Morgan Stanley in the late 80s.
We identified two distinct markets being served by our business, the sporting organisations and events that we had traditionally catered for along with a new corporate client base looking to both reward success within their organisation and use promotional items and gifts in their own marketing activities, which lead to the birth of our Sister Company, Everything Corporate allowing a better focus on the objectives of each offering.
Our business continued to grow steadily through the 90s with Everything Corporate going from strength to strength and Challenge Trophies now operating two retail outlets in Surrey, but our ambitions didn’t rest there. With a view to serving a national audience, we launched the original version of this website in 2008.
Well, I can tell you that this proved to be a steep learning curve, with the original site not managing to reveal the potential that we were sure was out there. So, following the feedback from loyal supporters, in 2010 we launched version 2 and closed our retail stores in order to provide a more streamlined and higher value national offering.
The new offering built into a great success and served as the basis of our latest site, launched at the beginning of 2012 and expanded to cover Ireland in October 2012.
So what of the future? Our aim is to keep innovating and keep listening to our customers with the aim of maintaining the best solution available around our core strengths of value for money and excellent customer service.
